History

Frank Dupuis opened the doors for business back in 1898 as a plumbing and steamfitting company. We were responsible for the installation of heating equipment in many of Rhode Island's landmarks including hospitals, college campuses and other institutions as well as hundreds of residences.

By the mid-1940's fuel oil was becoming the fuel of choice to heat with and it was a natural transition for us to become a full service oil company at that time. The plumbing side of the business was eventually phased out and the focus was then to continue with heating installations and all fuel related services.

In the 1970's, while under the management of the third Dupuis generation, the company was successful in going through the first of the oil embargoes and was able to meet our customers' needs during this period without interruption. It was at this time we saw the need to investigate the most efficient equipment available and also begin to educate our customers on the benefits of this equipment. We also moved our main office from its original location to our present location 401 Walcott Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Now into our fourth generation, Dupuis Oil is committed to meeting any challenge that comes our way and to keeping our customers satisfied.
